Physical Therapy Update During the Coronavirus Pandemic

Your Barr Center Physical Therapist, Janet Hare is here for you! However, during these uncertain times, we want you to be safe and we are doing our part to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. We are available to advise you regarding the best treatment options for you to consider on your path to healing your pain. We will be offering telehealth, e-visits and limited one-on-one treatments as needed for emergencies. Note: If you have a fever or any viral symptoms, have traveled recently or have any known exposure to anyone who has Covid-19 then we cannot see you in the office.

Telehealth Services

Telehealth will be delivered using a HIPAA compliant video and audio conferencing platform to provide physical therapy services. We recognized that manual therapies cannot be provided in this way, however we can give you the individual instruction you need to help manage your pain as we all navigate through this pandemic together.

E-visits cover short term assessments and management activities outside of normal treatment sessions for the purpose of helping our patients maintain and hopefully progress function. We also recognize that many people are isolated at home and having a connection with someone who cares can be very therapeutic. These visits must be patient initiated. Please ask us for guidance about your best option. We will be contacting our currently scheduled patients to discuss their options.

How to Reach Us.

We want you to be able to get the services you need while keeping everyone safe during this challenging time. Please call the office 757-578-2260 or email us if you have any questions. Janet can be reached at [email protected]  Note that our office hours are very limited at this time so please realize that it might take a day or two to get back with you. We hope and pray for everyone’s safety.
