Physical Therapy Services Update

We have all experienced a very challenging year thus far. In 2020, many of us have seen aspects of our lives and businesses disrupted, uprooted and turned around. At the Barr Center for Innovative Pain & Regenerative Therapies, we have navigated these difficult challenges safely and efficiently, remaining open to provide key services through the initial peak of the Covid-19 virus to care for those in severe pain. After gradually implementing new safety protocols, we resumed our full practice providing comprehensive musculoskeletal pain care to our patients.

However, like so many, the impact of the Covid-19 virus has taken a toll on us, too.

Sadly, I must announce that effective September 25, 2020, the Barr Center will discontinue offering physical therapy services.

All other services at Barr Center remain fully open and we welcome the opportunity to safely be of service.

We know that over the last year and a half our patients have appreciated the caring physical therapy services provided by our talented and hardworking physical therapists, Janet Hare, PT and Carmen Cellon, PT, as well as their support staff. We have certainly felt honored to have had such a gifted physical therapy team. We all wish Janet and Carmen the very best as they move forward on their journeys.

In the interim, we realize that you will need to continue your physical therapy treatment. Please know that we will do everything in our power to make sure you get referrals for continued physical therapy care during this transition. We work with many local physical therapy practices and can assist you in securing continuity of care. Please contact us at 757-578-2260 for further guidance.

Thank you for entrusting us with your care

Very sincerely yours,

Lisa Barr, M.D.
